Google Voice Forwarding Messages

Hi,

I like to use google voice for texting messaging (from cell phone) but every msg I receive it also forwarded to my mobile number. So basically I get 2 copies of each received msg with the latter one ariving about 3 seconds later. What should I do?

I already tried: disabling forwarding from google voice settings but then i wont receive any text msgs.

I think you are really only getting one message...just 2 notifications. One from the VG app and the other via your other messenger (stock, Chomp, Handcent).

IF this is the case you should be able to simply turn off notifications on one or the other that you are not using.
