We just wanted to take a moment to share the sad news that Google's big press event later today, dubbed "Google Playground" has been canceled until further notice. The looming super-storm, Hurricane Sandy is bearing down on the East Coast, which precipitated this cancellation.

We will be covering the news on the fly when they reschedule the event, and plan to bring you all the juicy details as quickly as they filter in. Here is a recap of rumors that may become reality eventually:
  • Announcement of the multi-OEM Nexus program
  • Launch of Android 4.2 (likely still called Jelly Bean)
  • Launch of Google Nexus 10 Tablet (manufactured by Samsung and designed to out-spec and compete with the full-sized iPad directly)
  • Launch of the LG Nexus 4 (this is a Nexus-style version of the LG Optimus G superphone)
  • *New rumors suggest we may be teased with a Nexus 3 device from an unknown manufacturer
As always we will let you guys know as soon as we find out when Google reschedules the event.
