According to AndroidPolice Google plans to debut a brand-new launcher for Nexus devices some time in the near future, likely on its 2016 Nexus (if they are Nexuses) smartphones Marlin and Sailfish.

AP has a confidence level of 9 of 10 and states that the App Drawer as we know it will indeed go away.

Let's not be dramatic, Jeffrey. :D

The app drawer simply looks like instead of clicking an icon to get there, you swipe up.

Yeah. There's most definitely still an app drawer. The icon has just been changed to a little arrow & no longer takes up a dock space in this rumored version.

If anyone wants to try it out I put the apk on my Google Drive:

nexuslauncher.apk

To get to Google Now you have to press the "G" two times. Once on the homescreen and again when it takes you to search. Google Tap still works the same way.
