Got a replacement phone.. swype is gone and I am panicking

Hello,

Had a new fascinate sent to me bc the microphone jack was screwed up on the old one. Well now swype is gone.. How can I get it back? I became completely reliant on it and need it back.

Any ideas?

I didn't like Swipe but good luck with getting it. If you're looking for an alternative, I really like Shapewriter (ShapeWriter). I got it from the Market when it was there. I don't know why it's not there any more they say it is. Let me know if you're interested.

Go find the swype apk. Shouldn't be too difficult.

Go to beta.swype.com from your device and login using the user ID and password when you registered for the beta. You should be able to download the installer from there, if it does not recoginize your device an email to the beta team works wonders.

Are you sure Swype is gone? Where you enter any text, hold down and select input method and see if Swype is an option.

Try SlideIt from the market. Not free but well worth the money imho.

the fascinate should come with it

long press in a text box and then select input method, you should see it there.

Shapewritter is better just Google shapewritter.apk that is the only place you can get it any more but it is worth it
