I had a Blackberry Storm before the Droid. I can't believe how every single thing I disliked about the Storm is fixed on the Droid. The general idea of the phone was very similar, but there were so many critical pitfalls. The clicky screen was loud and was gonna give me repetitive strain injury. The browser took without exaggeration several minutes to load pages. The keyboard could not be modified. Opera Mini was the most advanced piece of software available. There was no ability to alphabetize my apps. Audio quality through the headphones was sub-par. The minimum brightness was too bright. Auto-dimming was on all the time regardless of the setting, and did not work very well at all (The bright screen would trigger the sensor to dim the screen, and then the screen would brighten again, in a loop. WTF) The OS is closed so the mod community consisted only of mixing and matching individual java files from the official and leaked OS versions. RIM should just give up & rebuild their features in Android.
