My unboxing video. I was very excited (since I got it early) I rushed the video because I wanted to just play with the device.

Long story short I got LUCKY!!!!!! costco sold it to me, but at checkout it wouldn't ring out (since they arnt supposed to sell it yet) so a manager had to "force" a sale.

Thanks for the Video. So is it worth the $800? I've been all for it but now I may wait for the wifi only model since it's $200 cheaper and all the kink should be worked out by then.

Or should I say screw it and buy it?!

Would this be a reasonable tool to replace a laptop for web surfing, e-mail? Basically is the browser fast enough.

Thanks

Speed wise this thing is fast reallly FAST! For browsing the internet and reading emails this thing is much faster then my netbook and pc. However it doesn't replace those items because you still cant beat typing on a full size physical keyboard so for typing long emails or posting on forums sites the xoom fall short.... unless you get a bluetooth keyboard lol.

$800 is pretty steep, but I've already been using the 3g out and about and I can already see how nice it would be to have all the time. Nice to just pull out the xoom and use it online vs pulling out the xoom and your phone starting wifi tether and then connecting then using online. I'm still going to cancel, because I can't yet justify paying an extra monthly rate.

Again yes $800 is pretty steep and if you have the patience wait for the $600 version. I for one cannot will not wait! hahaha hope that helps.

This thing is VERY fast. It is awesome!! I paid $649 for mine at Costco with a 2 year agreement with VZW.

I got one also if anyone has any specific quesations. I like it a lot so far, few quirks with some apps but those will be updated in time. Like USA Today app doesn't work, force closes every time. Transition from 3g to a wireless hotspot is pretty flawless. when I hit an access point 3G shuts itself off which is a great feature. Exchange synced up fine, gmail full client is a really nice addition.

the only complaint if I had one is the carging port. It's flimsy, I don't understand why Moto decided to go the pin route versus usb charging or mini charging. When the cable is in there it's flimsy and not solod, moves a bit. It works for sure but I don't like that particular design.

In honeycomb still no VPN support for IPSEC with group authentication preshared key. That frustrates me a lot. All of the folks who have Cisco concentrators it's useless.

Otherwise, very fast user experience and everything is very fluid.

I love it. Even in the portrait mode. Using wifi n downloads are crazy. Very pleased with this as my first entry in the tablet market.

Android market works in portrait only. Where's swype.
