gps/bluetooth conflict

When connected to Ford SYNC via bluetooth, the GPS directiions do not play via speaker. My Droid used to have this same problem, but one of the upgrades resolved it. Now its back with my Droid 2.

I was looking for a post regarding this. I have the Sync as well. The audio is playing, but for the Ford SYNC you need to have SYNC play Bluetooth audio. It appears that its is streaming all audio (Pandora, Music, GPS directions) through the Bluetooth. I am trying to find a way though that I can have all audio play through the speaker normally, but if a phone call comes in then it will play through my cars bluetooth. Basically I want to be able to listen to Sirius, while my phone gives directions, and then answer the phone through incar bluetooth. Any suggestions anyone?

Does the Sync unit allow you to decide whether you want to just use the headset function. I know with my Jensen headunit I can pick whether I want it to connect as just a headset or as stereo headphones.
