DROID gps cursor display

Is there a setting where when I have the map displayed on 'my location' that the map would be displayed in the direction I'm going.

In other words, the arrow will always be pointing to the top of my screen as I drive around...?

There's a 3D-ish view in Nav but I haven't seen an equivalent in Maps. Haven't tried any alternate apps to see if they offer it.

The only way to have the arrow pointing the same way that my vehicle is traveling, is to be in the navigation mode (as far as I can tell). It only seems to perform this way in the directions mode of navigation. So I pick a place and it keeps recalculating.....as I drive around...
