Gps settings?

Hi everybody :)
I'm trying to make work the gps of my phone. I'm living in Colombia and I don't know if is there any confiiguration that I have to change in order to make the gps work.

I remember that with my old galaxy spica, I downloaded something that is installed via recovery, and after a day of tweaking settings, it worked.

I want to know if is there something like that for the D2G. The only thing that I did was changing ntp servers to south-america.

Also downloaded gps status to see if the phone is getting signal from any gps, but it isn't.

I'm using CM7

With CM7-related issues, you'd be better off heading to RootzWiki's D2G section where the actual development of CM7 takes place.

Gingerbread-based CM7 is known to be unstable on GSM, with WiFi and GPS issues plaguing the phone as the developers hardly care about GSM support.

GPS also doesn't work with official android :(

You might have a hardware issue, then.

I never had any issues with GPS on stock Gingerbread (4.5.608). I did have some problems on 2.4.330, though (extremely slow lock, etc).

Are you outside the USA? I thought that it was a configuration that I have to apply in order to get working GPS outside the USA.

BTW I think that I'll go back to 608. Is that possible from CM7 via recovery, without SBF?

Thanks again :)

I have never been to the USA in my life. I'm using the phone in Japan and Russia. Never reconfigured anything.

To restore 4.5.608 via CWM you need the corresponding CWM backup which you probably made prior to installing CM7. There are no other reliable ways.

There's an app on the market called "FasterFix" . I used to have the same issue and it solved dor me. Hope that helps!
