Great Battery Life!!

Just wanted to brag about this unbelievable battery life. Running Purity in a good 4G area (4G on all day) and after some time for this ROM to bake, I'm getting well over a day with normal usage. Running the leaked OTA kernel and radio updates. This ROM and the OTA make this bionic the best phone on the planet. My OG wouldn't make it through a day. Thanks Th3ory team!!!

Even 16-18 on standard battery, how is this possible?? I see this all the time, the most I can get on my battery is maybe 6hrs before I have to plug it in. Ive seen these threads going back to the Droid 1, how every body and their brother gets ridiculous battery life and I cant manage half that. I dont run many widgets, and the ones that do are static, dont update in back ground. Granted Im on the phone ALOT, but I always see ppl saying they get battery life like this with moderate to heavy use. I just scratch my head or assume they are exaggerating.

If you are seeing only about 6 hours of life then something is wrong with your phone or your battery. I am running purity and with a standard battery making it about 16 hours on average. I use juice defender and I keep my phone on auto brightness. I would describe my usage as moderate. If your battery is draining that quickly it may be an issue of your signal going in and out, or you may need to clear your battery states file to recalibrate.

This is a bad statement. You have no idea of another persons usage habits. you also use aftermarket add on's to save battery so you are not stock either.

If I keep it on 4G I was getting at best 10 hours on a normal battery. Even less if I used things like google+ that would auto upload photos.

If I switched to 3G only and max battery save it would quadruple my battery life. Just like the posted pic. I see cell data and voice calls. Display was 3% I doubt they did a lot of browsing or angry birds in that time.

Battery life is soo subjective. It is like saying I have 500 horsepower my car is fast. 500HP driving a huge limo will be no where near the same as if you put it into a pinto.

Just saying, these battery life threads are startign to drive me crazy. If I slim down my phone don't sync anything the battery lasts for ever. Hell I took my OG droid made it a wifi only toy for my son. Went from getting 5-7 hours battery life to it going like 4 days +.

But I have seen threads where ppl with standard battery got over 24hr. Ive had 2 bionics, 3 different batteries (1st battery in 1st one went bad) and they all performed the same. 6hrs + or - a little and Im on the charger.

I dont toggle anything off. I dont see the point in shutting off data when you "dont need it" on a smartphone just for the sake of extending the battery. So Im not really ultra conservative in trying to lengthen the time I get off a charge, but I dont have tons of useless crap running either. I just cant see how anyone could get 16-18hrs on the standard battery if they use the phone at all.

I agree man, display is only 3% in the OP...phone obviously wasn't used very much. I just bought a second standard battery and keep it in my wallet. It's like the thickness of 3 credit cards and I don't have to have the extra bulk on the phone that the extended battery requires.

The best I got on my bionic was 13 hours and ended up charging at 20%. That said I was running .893 rooted. I used the phone for about 2 hours straight on forums, reading news and some gaming. I consider myself a low average user.

Decided that I prefer the look of the standard battery (was using extended battery on the Liberty Rom) I would get like 20ish hours, but when I would go to work with bad connection, ym battery life was like 9 hours. It would go between 4G, 3G, to no data, etc. in that area.

I'm at 50% after 2 hours on standard battery, I guess I need to calibrate my battery for the standard :|
