Great price point, less pirating.

I just have to say that I think that the one of the best things ever created is the App Market.

I think that they (developers and google) have hit the perfect sweetspot. They finally made it easy to install software on your phone, and have made it easier to pay for an application than to try and pirate it.

There will always be pirating, that is just the way it goes, but for me I find it awesome that every little 3 dollar purchase I make turns my droid x into one of the best phones I have ever had, and supports development. (This coming from many many years of windows mobile)

I sometimes get annoyed by people being upset over paying more than 1.99 for an app, especially when you can get it refunded. Yeesh it costs less than a cup of coffee.

Ok flame me if you must, but I just have to say, coming from windows mobile to android is a lot of fun.

(oh, and please no "apple did it first" I don't want to play that game.)

There are quite a few apps out there that cost more than a cup of coffee... Also depends on where you're getting your coffee from. If you're paying $1.99+ for drip I hope it's from rare beans or a bucket o' coffee.

In any case, it's a bit pointless to get annoyed by people complaining about app prices. Android users seem to tend to expect free apps.

Why would you pick this feature then rather than something that's an actual Android first?

Oh well, it is just my opinion.

As for the whole app market thing, I live in an area where there is no carrier other than Verizon and Alltell so I have had no experience with Iphone, so I couldn't comment on the apple app store.

I did start using the windows market on wm 6.5 and liked it, but Droid market has so much more.

As for the price of coffee I make my own drip, but many people spend $$$$$ on mocha almond ultra vente shaken not stirred coffee. I was just making the comparison of the cost of an app to a daily (for some) coffee purchase.

I did install a trial 20 dollar app (touchdown) but after using it I realized it didn't quite do what I wanted it to do (needed multiple accounts) But it had 20 dollars worth of "stuff" in it.

Once again, I am just saying that "In my opinion" it would be easier to just purchase cheap app rather than to pirate.
