GREE & 2K Games Collaborate to Bring Sid Meier's Civilization and Pirates! to Android

I haven't thought about these classic games in a long while, but this story brings back fond memories of entire weekends lost to "just one more turn." GREE and 2K Games have teamed up to bring the classic Sid Meier's Civilization and Sid Meier's Pirates! to the Android gaming world. That's not all, they are supposedly also going to integrate social features into these games. I am not sure how they are going to do that, but the idea is intriguing. The source of this story indicates that Japan will be the first place to get these game ports, but the plan is to eventually release them globally. Here's a quote,

Creating social mobile games based on the Sid Meier’s Pirates! and Sid Meier’s Civilization franchises are our way to connect with Japanese fans in a fun and innovative way. - Fabien Siouffi, Vice President Online and Social at Take-Two Asia.

Any update on this, my fav game by far (outside of Madden) is Civ, so impatient!
