Green + in notificatiion bar = spam

I have previously posted about Appfire.com and now an add for a date for Saturday night.
I am getting a green plus in the notification bar, and now I am getting crap messages.
Anyone else? I don't have many apps installed that are newer. (Just started last 2 days)

It was Mp3 Music Download causing the notifications.

I've had it installed since December, but they just started yesterday. There might have been an update that changed something.
