Green Light and "Droid"

I got my Droid X yesterday, and I'm really enjoying it. It's replacing my iPhone, which was nice - except tor the carrier. I have two questions.

How can I stop the little green light at the top from flashing? I think it's related to email?

How can I stop the phone from saying "Droid" at startup/shutdown, a with Bluetooh connection/disconnect? Also, for some reason, it says "Droid" whenever it wants to. What's that all about?

Yes the green led is for messages and email. And as for the droid .in your notifications under each one sdcard mounted, email, text,Voicemail, ringtone. All are under settings.

Thanks, but ...

Thanks. That got me going in the right direction. The "Droid" sound is the notification sound that was selected under "Notification Ringtone." Is there a way to have no notification ringtone - just a ring?

I would also like to have the phone ring but not announce who is calling. I don't suppose it could vibrate a couple of times before it rings.

That's good I dislike the droid too at first it was cool. If you have a sound u like you can place it in your files under sdcard/ media/ notifacations or ringtones folder . Done by usb /pc
