Green lines across screen

I had a scare a little bit ago. My phone just cut off out of nowhere. About 15 secs later, the screen came back on, but had green lines all over it and was un responsive. I pulled the battery and it rebooted fine. I should add that during the last week random reboots have gone up quite a bit. I'm running stock, but am rooted. Should I restore this thing back to stock while I have a chance?

I'm un-rooting via Wugs and going to play it completely stock for a few weeks and see if the problem occurs again. I still look forward to any input everyone may have.

rooting shouldn't have anything to do with it.
if the reboots are continuing i would take it back. that is not normal. i think i have had maybe 1 or 2 random reboots since i got the phone 2 months ago.
also, there may be a rogue app out there that wants to take your phone hostage. its hard to figure it out other than uninstalling one by one and running for a day or 2 in between until your problems come go away.
