Hi guys,

My name is Fariz and I'm using Droid RAZR and I'm from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I just found this forum recently and decided to join it because I found it very useful and informative.

Plus, I somewhat need some assistance with my Droid RAZR.

I just updated my RAZR to ICS 4.0.4 for Asia retail, and I found that my phone is not as smooth as before (in GB). It somewhat has some lag issues.

For example when I use Twitter or FB, when I want to scroll down the screen, it doesnt move smoothly, it somewhat, somehow kinda stuck a bit before it loads. (just for a quick moment but you can feel the difference from before - in GB)

So this kinda irritates me. Plus, whenever I close an apps and going back to the HomeScreen, the screen somewhat needs auto adjustment before it shows everything on the screen.

I wonder if this thing happens to others or is it just my phone because I did ask my friend who uses RAZR MAXX, and he doesnt have this kinda problem after updating to ICS.

Glad if you guys can help me.

Thanks in advance. :)

Rgds,
Fariz

Hello and welcome to the forum!!

You can try to clear app data / cache thru the manage apps area - by clearing app data, you will have to re-enter your info (log-in) and set the app back up.

You can also try a factory reset which would also reset the phone requiring that you set it back up as well.

Hey guys. Thanks for the warm welcome.

I've tried to Factory Reset my phone but seems like problem is still there. I wonder if anyone else is experiencing anything similar to this?

Welcome to DF Fariz!

And as far as your issue is concerned, have you seen your friend's phone? They may have a different perspective on what is slow and what is not. Also, perhaps it is another app that is causing the issues for you. If the app is not compatible with ICS or is a resource hog then it could cause the whole system to slow down. Perhaps you could reset and add the apps back one at a time to see if one is causing the problems.
