Grey notifications

Anyone else having a problem when the wifi/4g notications go grey the data isnt working? I thought when they go grey it meant they were connected to google servers. When my notifications go grey im unable to access the internet, gmail notications dont come through etc. I can turn off wireless and and back on with the icons blue everything works fine and I start getting my notifications.

Yes, it happens to me as well. I'm not sure why, but it's annoying.

Blue means the phone is connected to Google Servers. Not gray.
