grouped gmail emails

Is there a way to have gmail not group emails it thinks are similar or have the same subject or from the same sender? Much rather have individual messages instead of grouped. Gmail gets close but there are some it groups that are not together.

Did you ever figure this out? I have the same preference for individual emails.
