gTalk not available in Market?

I'm trying to get Google Talk and it doesn't show in the market. is Verizon trying to get us to use something of their's I don't know about?

GTalk is a preloaded app on Android, I have actually never seen it on the market now that I think about it.

If you dont have it that is quite strange, but I can pull the .apk from my Droid 3 and send it to you if you want just PM me.

sorry, i found the preloaded one, i can't think why i was looking right past it all day.

i was sure gtalk was a market app, isn't there an update to allow video chat in it?

Yeah your right, GTalk 1.3 on Android 2.3.4 is suppose to have video chat, but it looks like we don't get that feature. Thats kinda sad, I was looking forward to that and really dont want to use skype or anything else. If and when the phone gets rooted we could run these steps:

but until then we can only wish.

My money is on the fact that Verizon doesn't want the bandwidth eaten up by all of the video chats that will take place.
