Had to repurchase game had already purchased

I originally bought Bejeweled 2 when it came out on on the Market from EA in February of 2011. I reformatted my microSD card today after backing the contents up to my computer. After copying everything back, I found that Bejeweled 2 was no longer installed, likely having resided on the card before.

I went into the Play Store and searched for Bejeweled 2 and found it, but according to the store, I had not purchased it. And yes, I was logged in through the same Google account that I had made the first purchase through. Thus if I wanted my game, I would have to repurchase it.

I did this, then double checked my account on my computer and saw that I indeed have two instances of Bejeweled 2 purchased. However, the meager 15-minute return window had already expired due to downloading the contents of the game.

I have the email receipt from my original purchase in 2011. Is there any chance of getting a refund for the second purchase, or am I SOL?

EA has been known to take games off the Market, then put them back on, forcing you to purchase the game again. I would contact EA, especially with a previous receipt.

I sent them an email with the order number, price and date of the previous purchase.

I really wish Google would implement a rule against forcing people to repurchase what they had already bought. Anything else seems very shady to me.
