Handcent issue- no notification

This past weekend I had an issue with my phone. I was told to do a master reset (I was NOT happy about this but they said it would fix my issue). I did the master reset it did in fact fix my issue. Although, now, my handcent is not working properly. It is not notifying me at all that I have a new message. There is no notification, no LED light, no sound. I have checked my settings and they all good to be set properly, but obviously, something is not working properly. I have to physically go into the handcent and see if there are new messages, which is really annoying. I have been searching for this answer for 24 hours on the Internet and this site and I can not seem to find a similar issue. I am sorry if this is a double post. Please help!!!
