handcent led not blinking

My text message led light is not blinking.....I have seen the posts about the 2.1 update changing it but my text messages will not blink. I have all the appropriate things selected but I have had no luck. Any suggestions??

The update changed it so if the screen is awake the LED will not blink. Does it blink with the screen off?

No its solid blue when the screen is off
