Handcent Notification Problem! Help!

I've been using handcent ever since I got this phone and this problem just occured..I receive a text message and the icon shows up in the status bar as it usually does but then after 10mins or so sometimes less it just disappears. Generally if I miss a text I can just click my phones button to turn it on to see if I have any texts but I have to go into my conversation list to see if I have texts. So basically if I don't respond to a text right away my notification goes away and its annoying having to look into my convos to see if I have texts. This has never happend before so I don't know the problem. Please help me if u can.

Maybe there's some setting causing it... if all else fails you could always try setting message pop ups.

I do use message pop ups those don't always come up either..

Give Go SMS Pro a try. It's also free and works better than Handcent imo.
