handcent problem

I have this strange thing happen when I use handcent. If I don't add a space at the end of the last word of a txt it adds that word to the beginning of my next text. Anyone know of a solution to this?? Very annoying

also part of the time when i close handcent it closes to on of the other tabs not my home tab
