Handcent using a lot of battery?

Anyone notice if you spend the day using Handcent is sucks down the battery? I am oc'ed to 800mhz, wondering if I should drop the clock down to 400, barely make it through the day using handcent and text msg.

something else is probably happening. i use handcent at 800 + mhz, and ive never had a problem. what else is using your battery?

if you clock down to 400, the phone will likely be very unusable

Odd. Not sure anything would be using it. Just heavy texting lately draining the battery. Using Froyo rom with uLV kernels

If you are doing a lot of texting that means the screen is on a lot which is usually the biggest battery drainer. What does Battery Usage say is using most of your battery life?

Yeah, lol. Lots of texting, lots of time with the screen on and sending over the network....hmmm, its not Handcent.

Maybe I will disable auto brightness on the screen then.
