Handcent

I downloaded Handcent App and whenever i get a txt msgs.i get two notifications for the stock message program and the Handcent notification. I made the Handcent to be my default but i still get two notification.
How do i fix this?

you need to go into the stock messaging app's settings and turn off notifications.

Alsoo i was wondering if i cab turn off the original msg app completly because whenever i get a msg both programs would start and i need to go on task killer to end the original msg apo
