Handcent

I am having problems after downloading Handcent messaging. Now I get two text messages....Notifications are turned off as well as auto retrieve....I have uninstalled, powered down, and reinstalled....I never had this problem with my previous droid...any suggestions?

First off Welcome to the forums.

The solution to your problem is simple. You need to turn off the notifications from the stock messaging app. Then you will only receive notifications of messages from Handcent. To do this, open your stock messaging app, then hit the menu button > settings > scroll down until you see Notifications and uncheck the box next to it. This turns off the notifications from the stock app.
