Haptic feedback too "rough", is something wrong?

I may be nitpicking, but...

My haptic feedback has always been a little stronger and more audible than I like, so I turned it off for most things. Using it for texting would be out of the question, because it would be too noisy. However, I was using a friend's Droid this morning and noticed that his seemed more "right", almost like a slight "bounce" than a harsh vibrate. Is there that much difference between the haptic feedback on Droids, or is there a setting somewhere?

when i had my droid stock, i noticed this too, that my haptic feedback felt "right", and after putting a custom ROM it seeemeed must stronger. my sister's is fine as well. I tried UDs haptic feedback adjustments but still couldn't get it to the pre-rom feedback feel. So curious about this too. Does anyone have good settings for the feedback using UD? Where it doesn't feel like a call is coming in when I press a soft key haha
