Hard keys backlight working sometimes?

Is there a setting for the hard keys backlight? Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Anyone else notice this?

i noticed it. but never bothered to look into it. im interested in getting an answer as well.

If you're rooted, you can use Adjbrightness to turn them on/off all the time. I personally use it to turn them off all the time, after you know which is which, i see no reason in them being lit. JMHO
