Has anyone had issues with the Razr Music software?

My music player times out, does a bad job of shuffling the music I have on my device, and slows down the phone. Has anyone experienced this? I suppose Google music is an alternative however I enjoy the shortcut display on the front of the phone when locked. Any advice?
