Have you used TikL? Push to talk over 3g or wifi? I think its awesome. Its the same ask what boost and Nextel have. Its also cross platform so its not just android.

I have it and use it with other droid users. It recently went cross platform with the iphone but i have not tried it yet. Im not sure if it was released for BB yet.

they said it is closed beta testing for BlackBerry but by Xmas it should be out for BB & out of beta for Android by xmas some hickups with some custom roms but usually after you go to rom manger & fix permissions all is well

I love it. Quick communication between co-workers, especially since we're on time constraints when filming. lol. My family members use it too. I love it, it reacts just as quickly as Nextel did when I had them.

My wife and I use it sometimes between my X and her Droid. Seems to work well.
