Having Trouble Recieving Pictures and Videos Messages

I am new to the droid world. I have recently been having issues recieving pics and videos through text messages. The screen just sits there and says "downloading"...........Any suggestions?

are you running a custom rom?

try long pressing the message, and click copy attached to sd card
