HBO Now subscribers can plug into Google Assistant in just a few steps. HBO Now is the standalone paid streaming subscription for HBO. If you are a subscriber, head into the Assistant settings (or Google Home app) to add your account.

and to think, it wasnt too long ago when samsung tried to introduced a tv that can be operated by voice, there was a public outcry about the tv always listening. I guess the furor has died down because of the echo and home.

I'm old I guess. I never once wished I could do this.
