Hello, a quick intro (I'll post my questions elsewhere)

Hello everyone, greetings!
I'm fairly new to android, had my droid1 for about 3-4 months now, and i love it.
I've hacked and modded everything imaginable, game consoles, to iphones, and lots of stuff, and now my phone is getting the eye...
I've been an avid linux user for years, comfortable with command line use, as well as basic programming.
but i don't want to charge ahead and blow something up or end up bricking it as i have no other phone to use.
so I come asking how big is the risk if i use a standard install method (sbrecovery i believe?)
and how difficult would it be to get froyo with wifi tether on this lil unit?

Thanks for the community! I'm gonna go bug someone in the hacking info forum now...

Wireless Tethering is a Root Required app that is free in the Market, after your device is rooted it will install and work like any other app. It is free but most will agree to not abuse it, besides that Happy Rooting and enjoy
