Hello All

I do not yet have a smart phone. I am considering either a Motorola Droid 2 or a Droid X, but I am a retired "old geezer" with limited means, don't really have a good justification for a smart phone. I like the idea of the GPS and Camera on those two devices.

Really, I don't understand if the GPS would work without additional cost other than the cost of the voice plan and the data plan. Who can tell me what all is included in the plans that I have to have?

Thanks,

Gene

They're both great phones! Either way, you can't go wrong! Navigation wise, there is NO cost associated with the Google Maps preinstalled on the devices...been using mine for nearly a year now! Go Google! :dancedroid:

GPS is part of google maps, free. Just get basic minutes and data unless you will be texting. Unless otherwise noted, most apps will have no extra fees unless you want to remove ads or buy more content. Stay away from vcast/verizon apps.
