Hello everyone! :)

Hi, I am a relatively late bloomer on the Android OS. I have quite a bit of experience in computer hacking and mods, but am finding this to be quite a bit different. I already have my Droid Bionic rooted and applied several "tweaks" I am still a bit vague on installing mods and right now and trying to install the 5.8.894 leaked update. I would probably wait until the official update is released, but I am having serious trouble with dropped data connections. This is especially a problem when going in and out of 4G service. It does not like to return to 3G and often leave me with no data connection at all. Sometimes a reboot will solve this and sometimes I just have to wait until the phone decides to reconnect. It's very annoying at times. A step by step guide for this would be great. In the meantime I will see what's here a bit more. Thanks in advance for your patience. It's strange going back to noobdom lol.

Welcome to DroidForums!! Glad you joined up with us :)

Sorry to say I do not know much about the ionic but if you head over to our Bionic Hacks section I am sure you can find the info or assistance you need.

Welcome. Normally leaks are applied as clockwork zips but I'm not 100% certain on the bionic.

Welcome to the forum! If anything like the Droid 3, considering your themes and such work on this phone too, you probably get the update onto your phone, and flash in boostrap as Update.zip, or something like that.

Thanks everyone for the greetz  I think I just may leave the phone alone until the official release comes out. If it doesn't install then because of the err..alterations I have done to the phone then I will worry about having to start over and such. One very very good piece of good news today though. It seems 4G LTE has finally come to our area. It's spooky fast. I hotspotted my lappy and ran Speakeasy to test bandwidth. I got 1.5MB/sec down and about 455KB/sec up. That's bytes not bits. The upload is twice as fast as my home ISP!
