This is a great forum a lot of info It will take some time to catch up!
I just got a sacrificial Droid 1 for $30 at eBay I want to learn how to unlock and flash to metro eventually, if I don't kill it first! I've been having fun just rooting and trying out different utility apps going to download a ROM later
used SuperOneClickv1.7-ShortFuse to root because I read somewhere that it works well with 2.2.3 and installed ASTRO, BusyBox, ROM Manager, SD maid, Terminal Emulator, Android System Cleaner and Titanium Backup all free versions, also found Droid root helper, got RSD lite 4.9 and A855 drivers :biggrin:
I don't have clue on how to use all these apps yet! :blink: I used ROM manager to do my first backup is that considered a true full image backup or advanced nandroid backup?
also any suggestions on my first ROM, Thanks
