Hi all, I'm f00f from sticks of eastern LI in NY. I picked up the Motorola Droid on Friday at my local Best Buy after having reserved one a week earlier. Within a few days I plan to early-term my AT&T contract and find a new home for my iPhone 3G.
I've been a hard-core Linux guy (both in IT and development) for a long time and although I love the iPhone it is simply too simplistic. Android offers a lot of options to those like myself who want to explore them and build on them. I just wish I had adopted this platform sooner.
