Okay, so I paid $70 for a new program and my x says it cannot open a .jar file.... I tried renaming it on the pc... ah... no. HELP! :icon_evil:

android only recognizes .apk files to be able to install

.jar files can be used in eclipse but thats developing so thats as far as i can help u there.

i searched ".jar on android" on google - that might help u get started

Anything meant to be ran on android should come with the apk installer. The jar file is just a way to pack up files, try running it on your computer and see if the apk file is created. You may also want to double check that the program is meant to run on your phone.

Okay, so I've been emailing with the "help center" ( I use that term extremely loosley) and was able to change it to an apk file, but get error message: Parse Error - There is a problem parsing the package. (grrrrrrrrr.)

Are you installing spy software on someone elses phone? lol awesome. Anyways, which software package is it? Having the name of the program would help us, help you!

Hate to say it, but you got scammed.

Its impossible for you to track someone elses cellular device via your own phone without installing 3rd party software on their device...

a few things that stick out about this site are..

1. You have to register to access the site
2. Its an HTML site, which is not secure at all
3. Its a complete scam.

Call your credit card company, delete the files off your PC/Phone, and walk away from it.

* disclaimer - Im about 90% sure its a scam.

I question this as well, and also recomend reversing your charges with the credit company.

From their site: "Whether you use a BlackBerry, iPhone, Android, Palm OS, Windows Mobile, Symbian or even any of the older phones!"

This alone implies that this is not an app for your phone, but something you would run on a computer. After all, how could a non smartphone use an app? Always do a little research on an app before you install it if you do not get it from the market place.

If you are trying to keep an eye on your kids with this, your better off just using the VZ app and paying the monthly cost.

Just in case anyone else is (like me) dumb enough to fall fro this scam, here's how I got my $$$ back - I reported them to the payment processing center (link below) and they gave me an immediate refund for Cell Tracker.

Dear Samantha Ingraham,
We hereby confirm the refund for CELL TRACKER - Cell Tracker to you on 09/28/2010.
Please see the statement below for further details.
IMPORTANT: We have already sent this credit to your credit card, however, some banks may take up to 5 business days to post it in your account. If you do not see this credit immediately and 5 days have not past, please contact your credit card company, they will be able to confirm the credit.
