help change car dock app

I had vortex running on my droidx and it is much more useful than the stock car dock. (Customization, multiple screens)

How do I install that dock on my Razr Maxx (someone said they thought it was a AOSP app not Blur?)?

Can I pull the .apk file from my X and copy to the Maxx? Is it that easy?

If it doesn't work on the Razr, maybe check out car home V3, it can also be customized-grid size, pages, button style, Widgets, backgrounds, etc.
