Help! droid 2, broken screen, can i factory reset?

Hi,
i have received a replacement droid 2 from Asurion, but i want to know if there is a way to factory reset my broken phone before i have to send it to the insurance company. The screen is completely broken and black except for a few colorful lines randomly. The touch does still work, however. i can unlock my screen, i just cant see anything..

Sbf flash. But it doesn't matter anyway, they don't check before they flash it themselves if it isn't already available to see. For a broken screen they will analyze the hardware, fix the issue, and flash it to send back out. Just send it in.

If you boot up into recovery by holding x, or bootloader by holding up on the keyboard, does the screen work?

you cant see anything on the screen at all, however i can swipe to unlock it and feel the vibration of it unlocking the screen.

thank you graymayre, thats all i needed to know. this phone has all my personal information, that is why i was weary of sending it out like this..
