Help - Droid in Endless Loop at Startup

I was rooted with Droidmod 1, I've done something stupid. I tried rebooting in recovery mode and thought I was installing a new ROM. Not the case, the phone now cycles from the Droid screen to the flashing eye in an endless loop. What can I do?

Did you try a battery pull? You can go back into recovery mode and restore a backup.

What if you don't seem to have a backup on your SD while in an endless loop?

That's the only thing I can find for you. Hope that works as I don't see any factory SBF for the Optimus. Those guys on the other forums weren't too helpful.
