help, droid is on but screen stays black

my motorola droid is on. I can tell because the link in the top right corner is blinking as it normally is when i have messages on the phone.

the phone rang earlier as i received a call but the screen remained black as if it is turned off.

what might be the problem? how can i fix?

Same issue as original poster, after several battery pulls and restarts the same issue persists. I also attempted to boot into recovery mode but was unsuccessful same situation happens. Black screen nothing else. Stock 2.1 update-1

Droid 2 Screen goes black and doesn't come back on

I bough tmy driod 2 on the 13th. the screen went black 10 days later. I tried pulling th ebattery, rechargin, etc. nothing. I went to Verizon and they replaced the phjone. Less thatn a week later, it has done it again!! I'm ready to go back to Balckberry. Can anyone help??
