My Dad had his Droid 2 in his shorts pocket and it got soaked when he was in the pool. It turns on. The it has words on the side saying, "OK to program"
"Connect to Data Cable." Help?

You may be out of luck since you kept the battery in and tried to turn it on, but you have nothing to lose by trying to salvage it...I coincidentally relayed my experience with several times dunking my phone here: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-general-discussions/165880-my-droid-void.html#post1689530

I've actually submerged mine on several occasions and using what I describe there, I still have the same phone and it's running well.

I also found this: http://www.mikestechblog.com/joomla...how-to-save-wet-cell-phone-dropped-water.html

Very similar technique, but a few more details like watching/controlling oven temp and waiting a few days before turning on; that actually sounds like a good idea.
