Help - How to Hide/archive SMS messages

I had a treo which used to do this. I want to be able to write an SMS, then archive/hide that message from my inbox until the person responds. When the response comes in, it will bring the whole conversation back. Is there an app? how can I do this!?

I'm not 100% sure if this is what you are looking for, but the Droid allows you to view your text message conversation as a thread

That's the idea, except not quite my question. If I have a text conversation with someone and I delete that conversation, the next time they send a text, I want it to bring back the conversation from before. Same idea as with gmail, where you "archive" the message and it comes back if someone replies to it. Help.........
