Help! Pictures deleted from sd card on its own

So I had some pictures that I kept in my nandroid folder with ._ in front so they wouldn't show up in the gallery. And they were always there with no issue. However, today I went to clear out some old backups, and now the pictures all seem to be gone from the folder. And I tried rebooting, and running a search through both root explorer and astro to see if maybe they were moved, but nothing. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

Did you make a backup on your computer? If so, check there for your photos. As to what may have deleted my senses is that something that was copied or moved into the Nandroid overwrote the photos.

I'm pretty sure there was an article on droid-life about this, I would link you but I'm on phone, might wanna check it out.

I ended up downloading some file recovery software. I was able to recover most of the pictures except for a few. My guess is the reason I couldn't recover those was because the nandroid backups overwrote them. In any event, all is well

Did you make a backup on your computer?

Always always backup if it's important.
