Help !! R2D2 GB 2.3.3 no wifi

I need some WiFi tethering help. My wife's phone gave up the ghost so we got another one thru the insurance. It came updated with the new GB 2.3.3 and 4.5.602.A957 system version.

I've tried everything I can think of in the way of wireless tethering apps. I can't get any to work. Tried Barnacle wifi, wireless tether from android-wifi-tether - Wireless Tether for Root Users - Google Project Hosting, and a couple others. Checked things out with SQlite editor and have had no luck.

Anyone have any help for me. Short of trying a new rom, I'm stuck.

search out wugpacked_gb_tether_patch_1.1.zip...that will allow you to use the wifi tether after you root...without that patch the D2 will not allow you to use the tether, it will keep loading the preinstalled verizon wifi tether app and block barnicle etc...good luck...it's a pain in the butt, but it is possible to get it to work on the D2....
