Help! Sync Google Calendar

I'm having trouble syncing the Google Calendar to my droid fascinate. When I update the calendar on my computer it transfers over to my phone. But when I update my calendar from my phone, it doesn't transfer to the computer. When I check the settings it says they are synced. But I can only update my calendar from my computer and not my phone.

When I make updates on my phone, it shows it as "My calendar" instead of listing as my email account. Not sure if this has anything to do with my problem...

When you add the event, you have to change the calendar from "my calendar" to your gmail account. Otherwise it will default for storage only on your phone. If anyone knows how to change the setting for default calendar assignment, I'd appreciate it as well.

I also would like to make my gmail account the default. Also, is there a way to make Alarm: None a default, rather than "15 mins before" ?
