Help unrooting please.

Hello everyone, I'm looking to unroot, return to stock, and return to the upgrade path.

I have just restored a backup I made of stock image (I think) on 5.5.886

I've heard that running 4ever root to unroot, will not restore me to upgrade path. Is this true? If it's true, then what would I do next to unroot and get back to upgrade path? Thanks everyone.
