Help with finding 2.0.1

I just bought a brand new Droid from Wal-Mart for less than $50. I found that the firmware is still 2.0, and after 4 days, a visit to the corporate store, and a dozen calls to Verizon, I still can't get it updated to 2.1 by Verizon. From what I have read, i believe that I have to go to 2.0.1 before I load 2.1. I have been able to find the update.zip from 2.1, but can't find 2.0.1 to make that intermediate step. Can someone please confirm that I need to take the 2.0.1 first, and if so, where might I find that older file? I found a thread, that sends you to "signed-voles-ESD56-from-ESD20.84263456.zip" but the link is dead and google can't seem to help me find it either. Thanks in advance.

if you don't mind using Motorola's RSD Lite, www.mediafire.com/?2nojyrkfznj.......i did this last night and it worked great.
